01The short version

Adoptiv gives you tools. It does not give you legal advice, and it does not become the caller of record on your campaigns. You are responsible for the calls you place, the messages you send and the consent you rely on.

The formal warranty language is in section 15 of the terms at /legal/terms. This page says the same things in a way a person can act on.

02Compliance features are aids, not a defence

We screen numbers before a dial, hold calling-hour rules, keep a do-not-call list and log what was blocked and why. Those are controls that make it far easier to run a compliant floor. They are not a legal opinion and they are not a guarantee of compliance.

The obligations sit with you. You are the caller. You hold the consent, you choose the lists, you set the campaign, and you answer to the regulator if something goes wrong.

A screening result reflects the lists we could reach at that moment. A list can be stale, a lookup can fail, and a number can change hands between one dial and the next. Configure the fallback behaviour you want and check that it is what you expect.

Rules change. We track the significant ones and update the platform, but we do not warrant that a given configuration satisfies a given rule in a given jurisdiction on a given day. Take advice on your own programme.

03Machine-generated output needs a person

Transcripts, summaries, sentiment, tone, intent, scores and suggested field values are produced by statistical models. They are useful and they are wrong sometimes, in ways that are not always obvious.

Treat them as a first pass. A summary can miss the one sentence that mattered. A transcript can mishear a number, a name or a price. A score is a signal to look closer, not a verdict.

Do not use an AI output on its own to make a decision that affects somebody significantly, including hiring, credit, insurance eligibility, collections escalation or discipline. Have a person review it, and keep the recording or the transcript so the decision can be checked.

Field values written back from analysis arrive as suggestions for a person to accept. That design is deliberate and you should not route around it.

04Automated voice and disclosure

Where you use synthetic or AI-generated voice on a call, disclosure obligations may apply to you, and in several places they do. We give you the means to disclose, in the script and in the flow. Whether you must, and in what words, depends on where you are calling and who you are calling.

The same applies to recording. We record when you tell us to and we can play a notice. Whether one party, two parties or all parties must consent is a matter of the law where each of them is.

05Emergency calling

Adoptiv does not route emergency numbers. That includes 911, 112, 999, 000, 110 and 119, and it includes N11 short codes.

Every user needs a separate, working way to reach emergency services from wherever they are. Do not deploy Adoptiv on the assumption that it can be dialled from. The full list is in the acceptable use policy at /legal/acceptable-use.

06Deliverability and connection are not guaranteed

We do not guarantee that a call will connect, that a number will be answered, that a message will be delivered, or that a message will land in an inbox rather than a spam folder. Those outcomes depend on carriers, providers, filters and the person at the other end.

Answer rates, connection rates and delivery rates shown in the product describe what happened. They do not predict what will happen next.

Uptime is a separate commitment with its own remedy, at /legal/sla.

07This website

Pages on this site describe the product and, in places, the rules the product helps you work within. They are general information written for a general reader. They are not advice for your situation.

We keep these pages current and we correct them when they are wrong. If you spot something that does not match the product, tell us at legal@adoptiv.com and we will fix the page rather than argue about it.

Where this site and a signed agreement disagree, the agreement governs. Where this site and the terms at /legal/terms disagree, the terms govern.

08Third parties

Where the product connects to somebody else's service, that service is theirs and their terms apply to it. We list who they are and what they receive at /legal/sub-processors.

A link from this site to somewhere else is not an endorsement, and we do not control what is on the other end of it.

09Questions

Write to legal@adoptiv.com. If the question is about a specific campaign or a specific rule, tell us what you are doing and we will tell you plainly whether the platform supports it, and where you should be asking a lawyer instead of us.
