Open & Click Tracking
Opens and clicks are recorded, and the honest part is the edges: what gets skipped, what never counts, and which of the several ways this product sends mail carry any of it.
A link signed, an open counted once
1 recorded of 3 arrivedhttps://northgate.example/pricingThe endpoint verifies the digest without leaking timing and only then reads those values back out. Something unverifiable is refused rather than forwarded.

How it works.
A tracked link carries its own proof
The identifier encodes workspace, message and destination behind a short keyed digest. The endpoint verifies and then reads those values rather than trusting anything in the address bar, and something unverifiable is refused instead of forwarded.
Your own reading never counts
A request carrying a login cookie, arriving from inside this application, or announcing itself as a crawler or a prefetcher, gets the image back and produces no row at all.
First is kept, everything later is counted
The earliest open and the earliest click hold their timestamps permanently. Subsequent activity only moves the counters, so a first-touch figure never quietly becomes a most-recent one.
The send path is what bakes it in
The invisible image and the rewritten addresses go on inside the send itself, so a message held for the morning leaves carrying the same instrumentation it would have carried now. Cadence sends keep a signed pixel of their own on a separate pair of endpoints, which is why a sequence can branch on an open while none of it appears here.
Two moments in every message.
Every message passes through the same seven. Open & Click Tracking is the lit ones, and everything either side of it is a different page in this category.

8 facts- Applies to
- Messages from the composer, sent now or held for later. Platform notifications carry neither the image nor rewritten links, deliberately
- Link identifiers
- Workspace, message and destination behind an eight-byte keyed digest, compared without leaking timing
- Left alone
- Mail-to addresses, script addresses and in-page anchors keep their real destination
- Ignored opens
- A login cookie present, a referrer inside the app, or a crawler or preview agent
- Repeat opens
- Folded into one for five minutes per source address and reader fingerprint
- Flood guard
- A hundred requests a second per source address on both endpoints
- Retention
- Individual opens and clicks are removed after a hundred and eighty days; the running totals stay
- Not the same as
- A cadence keeps its own opens and clicks on its own endpoints, which is what a branch reads. Nothing on this page counts those
What this sits beside.
Mail and diary are one surface with several parts. These are the ones a person passes through in the same minute.
More in Email & Calendar
12 capabilitiesWebmail, four sync providers, tracking, calendar and meetings.
Google Calendar writes out the moment you save and mails the invitations, and reads back on demand, so a meeting booked on a call is there before it ends.
Connect Gmail on one scope and mail arrives by push rather than polling, filed against the lead holding the address, with nobody having to forward anything.
Outlook and Microsoft 365 sync through Graph with delta queries and subscriptions, so large mailboxes stay current without re-reading themselves.
A Microsoft mailbox brings its calendar and address book over Graph, on subscriptions that renew themselves, with a ten-minute pass running underneath.
Any mailbox that speaks IMAP and SMTP connects with a form and a live login test, so a provider nobody built an integration for is still a real inbox here.
Grant a whole template folder to particular roles and teams, so regulated copy stays with the people allowed to send it. Filing is the act of sharing here.
One signature per connected mailbox, added by the send path to new messages and forwards, so mail from the platform arrives looking like mail from a person.
Book from the conversation, with the invitation, the joining link and the record all created together instead of in three separate tabs afterwards.
Connect Zoom and a booking creates, moves and cancels the meeting for you, with the joining link and passcode riding inside the calendar invitation.
Pick Google Meet on a booking and the calendar write mints the link with the invitation, so everyone on the account gets it rather than finding it in a note.
Connect Teams and a booking makes the meeting through Microsoft's own interface, carrying its joining address into the invitation the guests receive.
Inbound mail attaches to the lead holding any address on it, sender or recipient, matched exactly once lowercased. Two columns, one query, no resemblance.
The rest of the platform.
Five more categories, all on the same record and the same bill. Each card names three of its capabilities, so you can tell from here whether it is worth opening.
